Blackwidowshirt – I like ballet and guitars and maybe 3 people shirt

Freudenberger wanted the rooms to reflect the golden and green tones of Cambria. In one of the hotel’s ocean-view rooms, Cambria’s colors are reflected back in the light Baltic birch slats that cover the wall behind the bed, as well as the earthen curtains, made of tent-grade duck canvas. One corner is primed for gazing out the window with its daybeds covered in sea-blue patchwork cushions. To make them, Freudenberger sourced vintage textiles from shops up and down the coast, then laid out the patterns and had them hand-stitched together in Los Angeles. “It was really about taking every single element, examining it, and making a thoughtful and directed design decision. Nothing was taken lightly,” Freudenberger says. The best evidence of this is perhaps the eye-catching outdoor bath which was initially a horse trough. It was transformed for human-body soaking with two different shades of green, one on the exterior and one on the interior “so when you fill up your bath it’s this gorgeous color.” Aesop products complete the setup, along with a mini bar stocked in part by the cult grocer Erewhon (their first hotel collaboration).
